Meet our Special Guests

  • Melissa Andrews

    Melissa Andrews

    Emcee

Melissa Andrews is an Emmy-winning Anchor who joined WTOL in 2012. Melissa was an Anchor/Reporter in Terre Haute, Indiana before coming to Toledo in 2007. Born and raised in Cleveland, Melissa studied Broadcast Journalism at Kent State University where she produced, reported and anchored for her college station, as well as PBS. Melissa dedicates a lot of her free time to community organizations including Susan G. Komen Northwest Ohio, Ronald McDonald House Charities, American Heart Association, and Justice for Sierah, Inc. After she gets off the anchor desk, Melissa goes in to "mom mode" and you'll see her on a soccer field, a Sylvania basketball game, volunteering in her kids' classrooms or running to the grocery store. Juggling a full-time job and being a mom is a lot of work, but Melissa says being a journalist is as much of who she is as being a wife and mom of three. Her motto is, "Choose a job you love and you will never have to work a day in your life!"

He remains active in his community, with a busy schedule of appearances as Master of Ceremonies or even Celebrity Auctioneer. He earned his Ohio Auctioneer's license for the sole purpose of legally conducting charity auctions legally. He'll call some 20 charity auctions a year with an emphasis on helping schools, economically challenged kids and families and the developmentally disabled.

The Sierah Strong Program is expanding!

We are excited to announce the expansion of the Sierah Strong Program. We are working with education leaders to create a curriculum-based program for kindergarteners through eighth graders in Ohio schools. Sierah Strong will meet state standards and be ingrained in our education system that self-defense, empowerment, and knowledge are the first steps towards protecting our youth.

Justice For Sierah, Inc. Mission Statement

Justice for Sierah, Inc. is a non-profit working to protect communities by implementing the Ohio violent offender registry, known as Sierah's Law, in all 50 states. Our work also includes empowering our youth by establishing self-awareness and self-defense into school curriculum and communities through the Sierah Strong Program.
